Ran across an old song, written by Joe Glazer in 1918 : “Too old to work and too young to die…”

That’s about where I am at …

After spending a lot of my time travelling around, working on alternative projects, getting involved in humanitarian or social work, taking care of my kids, singing in smoky bars and honestly having a good time, I suddenly realise that I never seriously though about a decent pension plan.

According to French law (I live in France), you must have worked for 42 years in order to get a decent pension. At the age of 56 (OK, almost 57), I totalise something like 25 years of what one can consider as “legally recognised work”… Which means that I still have a way to go before retiring.

In fact, that does not bother me tremendously… since I appreciate working on interesting projects… However, the main question remains “what in the hell am I going to do…?”

To the question, there may be a few answers. And one of them may be my illustrations.
I went to art school back in the 70’s (Washington University. St. Louis)… It is true that I spent only a year there since I had this urge to travel… But I never stopped drawing. I would read a newspaper, get mad about something, feel the urge to express my anger or my frustrations and then produced a “graphical opinion”… A few have been published here and there and sometimes I’d add an article (generally in French).

Over here, like in many places, it is not always easy to make a half decent living with art & illustrations. A lot of people try and only a few succeed… But you never know, it is often a question of being in the right spot at the right time.

So I quickly put this website together with a few examples of my work, hoping that perhaps someone, somewhere at some time might be interested.

Should you be that person… Please do not hesitate to contact me…
